CELEBRATING *BLACK HISTORY MONTH* at STAR OF INDIA
Special fundraising event for Sickle Cell Awareness on Wednesday 28th October
Star of India, East London's award winning Indian restaurant is holding a special fundraising event to support Sickle Cell Awareness on Wednesday 28th October.
The event, featuring award winning black female vocalist Deloris Francis and *singing Elvis*, is part of *Black History Month*, which takes place every October in Britain. *Black History Month* was established to promote knowledge of black history and it*s culture and heritage. It also aims to disseminate information on positive black contributions to British society and heightens the confidence and awareness of black people to their cultural heritage.
Doors open at 6pm and event starts at 7:30pm. Event includes the following:
a.. Three course meal (vegetarian dishes available)
b.. Glass of wine or soft drink upon arrival
c.. Singer Deloris Francis (winner of 2006 and 2008 black female voice award)
d.. Elvis Impersonator!
e.. The multi-talented Lady Rajan
f.. MC and DJ Norman C
